Today's New York Times includes a detailed article on social networking in the military. It's a raging debate with many blogging and tweeting regardless of norms and regulations. Depending on who you listen to and report to (it appears), you can be free and clear to tweet and blog or subject to discipline.
I don't think this debate is going to end anytime soon.
